Looks like the right place at least. Hi, I'm Sel, and I'd like to say hi to everyone on the forum! I've been snooping around the furry "group" (for lack of a better term, plz tell me if there's a more 'official' one) for some time now, and after a long period feeling something eerily akin to "gender confusion", I discover that I feel closer bond with furries than with "normal" folks. So, making a long story full of indecision and questioned sanity short, your forum looked like as good a place as any to jump right in. So, therefore, hi, and if anyone has any questoins or comments, I'm usually online (still questioning my sanity and talking to the air as I try to maintain the fragile barrier between my furry side and my day to day rationality) until the Christmas/New Years/ Winter Holiday ends.
Oh, btw, if anyone here can draw well and doesn't mind charity (so to speak), I'm looking for someone who might help me with obtaining an avatar image for my profile. I'm a skilled writer, so we might perhaps be able to work out some form of trade. I don't look at my PM's much, so if you are interested in some form of deal, please send me an e-mail at raebrotag@yahoo.com, and we can work out the details. To answer your questions, we're most commonly referred to as the furry fandom, and, since you are now a fur, there is no need to worry about your sanity. If you are a fur you are completely, absolutely, one hundred percent insane. No ifs, ands, or buts. Grab a straitjacket, sit back, and enjoy the ride.
Oh, and don't worry about long posts 'cause, hey, this is a forum. If we weren't willing to read, we're kinda in the wrong neighborhood.
As for an av, I'm not sure. I would have suggested talking to Ginny, but it seems as if she's set off for greener pastures. Or died. Either one. _________________

However, like previous posters on the forum, I have to question the safety of your fish.

But since you know I'm a wolf, you obviously read my little spiel, so thanks. Half of the internal struggle, I think, was just stress from keeping it all bottled up inside.
And as far as long posts go, I was worried more about charachter limits.
And that's a terribly pessimistic thing to say about Ginny.

Late day 2, almost day 3. It's really, really quiet and so empty. Listen, just get real quiet and listen.
*Holds up a paw, appears to be focusing on a distant sound*
You hear that? That's a tumbleweed rollin' in the distance. It's like those deserted boomtowns they taught me about in history class. Buildings are really old, take a look.
*Pans camera over zFurry forums*
Hopefully, there'll be some old wells left over, and there appears to be a supply of fish nearby. Fish look a little sickly, maybe some mercury run off from a nearby ore refinery.
*Refocuses on face*
I'll try to find other sources of food, but it doesn't look like any wildlife or flora has been present since before furs started coming here. Now it's just a wasteland. Met someone earlier, early riser, what was his name... Burn, I think. Gave me a fish, but it smells a little off. Still not sure I'm desperate enough to resort to tainted fish. At that point, it'll be like drinking salt water.
*Sighs, hangs head*
Biggest problem's gonna be social interaction. I hope someone comes by to visit. I saw Burn earlier, but that just made it worse. Before I wasn't too enthusiastic, now it's like Tantalus and his damned fruit.

Hello, Sel. I hope that you are comfortable during your stay here. Yes, this IS the right place, despite the lack of activity. This place feels just like a ghost town! Even I think that there might be some ghosts lurking in here. Don't panic, I might be wrong. Or maybe I'm right. Anyway, if you need anything just whoever's in charge. I don't really mind the lack of traffic once I get used to it. I figure a small, close-knit group is better than a very popular forum filled with flamers and trolls.
And it means that once the school year starts back up and I have something to occupy myself with, I won't have to worry about obsessively following the forum like I currently do.
As it stands, if zFurry were a ball, people would start mistaking me for a dog. (A normally difficult mistake to make, despite the arguments still going on as to whether dogs and wolves are different species....es ) I have trouble with words ending in -es and -er sometimes.

Hi-bombs are better than no bombs, though my preference is for the WP-bombs. BOOM haha (I'm in a very good mood. The sort of naturally high mood accompannied by rapid tail wagging and the normally untenable idea of giving my prey a head start)

Yeah, I've found my way around by now. Got nothing to do, so it's been kinda like my more subservient cousins with a chew toy.
And no, I won't eat you. You're too small and fast for traditional hunting methods, so it would be kind of difficult... Unless I were to develop a taste for shrapnel in my entrees... which seems unlikely
More to the point, I don't eat friends. Only enemeies. And any non-sentients in my way.
