The Sight and Fell are definitely two of my favorite books, and I'm not saying this from a furry standpoint. I've recommended these books to non-furry friends of mine, and they love them too. They are beautifully written, and I love the depth of the characters and lore that Clement-Davis goes into. I also liked the twist at the end of Fell. I won't ruin it if you haven't read it yet, but be prepared. It might not be of 'Fight Club' caliber, but it's still good.
As for the "human's are evil" side to the stories (and I'm talking more of The Sight than Fell here), it may go quite far, but sadly it's true. I could point you to many references that show how wolves were thought to be evil and extensively hunted and killed. I've even seen a few sites that are still adamantly for hunting and controlling their population today.
I've just started reading David Clement-Davies other book, Firebringer. I think someone already mentioned it, but basically from what I've read so far its the same kind of setting as The Sight (dangerously oppressive and cruel "government") but with deer. So far it's very good, and could put Mr. Clemet-Davies three-for-three on my favorites list.
