Not sure if this should go in under games. O well, here we go.
A friend of mine from down the road where I live has told me of a LARP (Live Action Role Playing) gaming event he has been going to. It it End Of Seasons.
He is going to the last game of the year and I am going with him.
It is a little like another LARP I use to go to called NERO (New England Role Playing).
There are Furries "of sorts" in there. A separate class of races called Amalkin in the game. A variety of ware creatures. I intent to join and add a speeches. A badger. Yess! I intend if all goes well to make a badger costume and battle in it.
My Friend knows very well what I plan to do. It should be fun. At least for a little wile.

Well, I shell see how it goes. The main plan will not be till next year.
I can hear it now, "One normal, one normal, one normal, critical slay!"
"I call upon chaos for an an magic missal." "Some one! I need healing!"
I am back from my first day at End Of Seasons. It was fun. Real fun!
I mostly like the part I had played as an Imp.
I am not sure if any of them there as an Amalkin where furys. In a way it did not matter. You just go there to have fun. One should try to learn about and try to keep within the theme of the game. It would not look good to try to join in showing up and stay in like a full out typical fur sute and expect to fit in. Now if you did that and say dressed it up with some armor, Renaissance garb and one of there weapons that might work. Might! Fighting in one, in the dark, in the woods may be quite hard, and there is the rain. For those reasons I would not suggest a fur sute. Face makeup, ears and a tail, Well, now! you are talking. That would work grate, and one would fit in there real good.
My plan was to try to introduce a badger to the seen for next year. Guess what. One there already was one. I will likely go as one next year just the same. It was better to know I could be one.
I did well there my first weekend. Many wish to see me back, and as a player in the role of the badger. They do want to see that. I have time so I will go about trying to make this thing.

I don't think there is anything like that around here. I live in a relatively small town and I doubt there would be that much of a community interested in it.
