Alright, so after being homeless for the longest time, I have found a home for my writing. Nice. Not just nice, but great! The story is good, and the caracters in the story are well made. Yes, I read it all... Sad story, but it did get "happier" in the end. Cant wait for the next chapter, but it did not leave me with much questions. Are the next chapters about Silvers training? I think that the story would be good if after a few months of the school, it become attacked. Than have a chap on that! Personally, I hope silver and friends escape the school!
Oh ya, I recomend you not go off into some random paragraph about his dad dieing. Wasent the right time for that, I wanted to know about what was going on at the school!

I have 7 or 8 chapters written... not polished and ready yet though... I'm not sure how to deal with the hometown side of the story within the piece. I've seen alternating chapters (Tolkein) spliting them into two separate parts (Tolkein) and I've always felt that separating them makes it less interesting because the reader connects with a story... I never read the second half of the two towers because frodo and sam were boring... I think Raine's part in the story is crucial because of how she has to deal with certain issues of abandonment that Silver has to deal with. She is exitting the story for a time though... i'm not planning on showing Raine after she leaves the village. I'm not sure what I'm going to show of Silver's actual training... i've considered having the castle attacked... I have seriously considered Silver being forced into caring for a really young orphan since he will be leaving the room soon. I'm hoping to give Esca her due sometime soon since she is the most complicated character ^^. I'm glad you read and took the time and all to tell me about it... last people who read it were for a contest... they basically said it was a joke since they had three places for novels and there was only a first place announced. And then one of the judges i got in contact (school contest) told me romance and relationships are too complicated to write about. *giggles* Thanks for reaffirming that the writing classes I took where I worked on this weren't wrong :3 *licks* And sorry if I hurt you for pouncing ^^

Split the story into two? The book Redwall did that rather well, but I allways thought that your story had a Third-Person point of view.
(Ya I do think it would be awsome if Raine showed up randomly and saved Silver! Like right before a battle she stabs someone than throws him the sword!)
Than agean, I havent been able to read past chapter 3, because you need to post it! @.@ Oh and I disagree with that Judge, relations in a story really have a huge impact on all the events on the story and how signifacent they are.
