I can't say I've ever been *that* scared of needles. And I've always liked fires, but I agree burns can be a b*tch (Yes I realize what I just said. Shut up, that's not what I mean).

...I didn't notice anything at all about your post. Stop being defensive.

And yes, my fear of needles outstrips that of most. Speaking of needles, have you ever thought about what they do with the discarded needles?

don't worry, the fear of needles is quite common & in my opinion, is a natural & normal fear Smile

(I dunno how they dispose of them but from what I've been told they do it VERY carefully)

I wonder if "very carefully" involves melting them down to make more needles... that's how I would do it... There isn't a micro-organism (viruses included) on earth that can survive temperatures in excess of steel's melting point.

And I know it's normal... after all, who doesn't like being poked with sharp objects? [sarcasm] Like I said earlier, it's gotten better with the introduction of some discipline into my mindset. See my sig, I owe that guy a lot.

One of my greatest fears is heights. I go up to a high place or on top of a ladder, and I feel like I'm going to fall down.

I know what you mean, just the vertigo and the feeling that you aren't secure... Although the opposite is true for me, I look down 3-4 story stairwells for that feeling. I know just how much this says about me, but it's a bit of an adrenaline rush.

Another thing that I failed to mention is that when I get on top of a high place, I also get the urge to jump down, but I obviously don't do it because I don't want to hurt myself.

That's not a fear, though. That's a compulsion... and it indicates something much worse.

Ok, returning to the topic now, sorry... *Discards beard*

I suppose just stay away from heights, then. Problem solved.

Yes that's a great idea!  But problems occur when your fears conflict with something/place that you want to do.  Like rockclimbing!

Needles, I hate needles..        ..and that's all I'm admitting.

I don't like rock climbing.

And about needles...   ...I'm ok with needles.

One thing I sorta thought of...a baby isn't born with fears but society is what makes a person fear something, right?
