To All Dog Lovershttp://wlfdog.livejournal.com/73842.htmlThe Ontario Provincial Government has recently put forward legislation to ban certain breeds of dogs (mainly pit bulls). The group that is fighting the government, Banned Aid, is in massive debt, and needs more money to keep the battle going. If they lose this means that the Ontario Government literally has the right to come into one's home wihout a warrant, sieze their pit bull or even pit-bull esque dog and have it destroyed. I know the ban will only affect those in Ontario, but that's not the point. I am donating as much as I can and I urge people to do the same. |

what...? You can't BAN breeds of dogs! It's not their fault if they're born of a specific genetic code. Not all pit bulls are bad! |

I agree. I did a speech about this in my college course. I am 100% against Breed Specific Legislation. Words cannot describe how much the mere thought of it drives me insane >_< |

Seriously. Come on. I had a pit bull once at my barn named Molly, and she was incredibly sweet. She even thought she was a cat; she used to purr like one XD
I'd have had to be locked up if someone had been able to legally come and kill her! It's so unfair! |

It has to do with the sire and bitch as well, though. If someone breeds a dog for fighting, then breeds that dog, the pups might have a slightly angry nature. That can be overcome, though, I just mentioned it for the sake of arguement. |

Wait a second...
Couldent you just VOTE for the ban? Also, it says they proposed a ban on the dogs, that does not mean it ban will pass. I am not expert in goverment things, but dont we vote for things in a democery goverment? But banning one bread of dogs is wrong, Imagin if people treated other people based upon their race? |
