How do you like furrys to look?Just a general poll.How do you like your furries? I know people who only like talking animals, others who like a little more of a human touch, and some that look almost human but with some furry features....to make it easy I put down movie references so you know what I'm talking about. hehe My preference is option 3 (Robin Hood). As that's how I see Sarafina...though she can act & move more thylacine when she wishes

that reminds me....have you seen Happy Feet? hehehe! Tecoon & I loved it but the fact they gave the female penguins a slight 'adaptation' on their chests made us giggle still great movie

Could you add all of the above as an option?
To me it is a mix of all of the types you mentioned, living in this world. I think we could agree on the above options as being types of furries that might be seen; 1, 2, 3, and 4. There is alot of things I wanted to talk about regarding these types, but I do not wish to stray off topic. Me, I think I am somewhere between one and two. My preference is mixed, for many reasons. |

my version of "fur" can't be expressed through physical means.
To me furry is a spirit inside of us, my fursona is just its expression so yes thats how you might "see" me lol. |

I don't like this question.  If it has fur on it and is all animal or just has animal features to it is good enough for me. 
If I had to give an answer I would say mostly animal. |

Well, Sarafina there is nothing really wrong with your questin. I get what you where getting at. I for the most part like the diversity and try not to pick favorites on things like this. To me it kills the point of diversity. But yes it can be a fun question just the same. I don't wish to stomp on your fun. It dose remind me of that movie Eragon and what some I know have said about it. They said they did not like the look of the dragon in it. It to them did not look like a dragon. I told them I very much liked the look of it. It was a new take on them. Feathered wings on a dragon? It dose not sound right but it to me did look very good. It's just my way of looking at things. Like I have told a friend of mine on line I can be easy to please when it comes to things like that. As far as your other wording of the question to "how do you primarily picture furries?" I would say "with a personality and expression of thought and/or emotion." That is how I picture them.
O and Sarafina a little obvious but (Robin Hood) did have some infuence in the look and make of my fursona. Well, that and a few other things.

Yes, dispite the horrors of happy feet, there are what but who cant know. The oak tree of liberty grows tall in the blood of the martyrs! How I picture furries? Haha! What would I tell without trust? I would rather not be called crazy, rather not be laughed at on my own. Forgive my insecurity, if you will. Be to be not, it is rather simple in concept. |

I do the foam head and tight fursuit myself, but I would love to have a super-realistic, latex/makeup setup that no one could tell wasn't real. Personally, I like all furries... I think its the animal in them that stirs somthing deep inside of me. The more into it they are, the more comfortable I feel around them. Its not just a attitude of how good their costume is, or how they play their part, but how they feel about themselves, and the place the animal inside them holds in their own hearts.

Funny story about that suit.... I ran out of clothes about a month ago and put on my trek pants and a crop top to do laundry in the dorm here (coed). So I am doing laundry bending over and stuff and the guys in the laundry room are giving me the kinda looks a nerd girl like me isn't used to getting. It wasn't until I was heading back to my room that it dawned on me that I have a 2+ inch tail hole in the back of my pants.. and these are kinda low riders anyway. So there was a free show in the laundry room that day. I may have just created a new style on campus. 
Maybe next time I will just wear the tail? Meow baybay! |

Tinkerbell the spacer cat. I like the idea you have of a form of face mask rather then a big foam head.
They look OK but they are not for me. If I was to fursute I would do up a form of moving face mask. It would take time but maybe well worth it. To help you out if you where truly thinking of it hear are a few sites to check out. Hear is where you can get what you need to make the mask. To add fur to it is another task it dose not cover. If you have it I suggest checking out the making of the new Planet Of The Apes Movie. It has a few pointers on how to add fur to such a mask with little fuss. It make it look farley easy. http://www.fxsupply.com/prosthetics/prosthetic.html Hear is where one can get some good face adhesive and long lasting face pant for that rugged LARP fighter. I would go with the full anthro deal but with more of an animalistic nature. Guess I kind of more like the animal side of me then the human. But I am what I am and if anyone has an issue with it they can lick me tail ;p | ||

Bunnies don't have tails!!
That little so called "tail" you have does not count as a tail! Your Ears are longer than that stump of a tail you got! If it's not even as long as your ear, then it shouldn't be able to qualify as a tail, not even close! The whole suit thing is still something I don't understand. (Edited: Reasons of my own) |

For me, it's a combination of 2 and 3. I generally act and move in a human fashion, but I can also sort of fold myself into a quadripedal posture and pose as a feral if it suits my purposes. I'm a little less human than some, since I don't like lots of clothing and I have a bit of a savage streak, though I can't bring myself to eat Medic.
